In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we provide a clear process for copyright owners to report alleged infringements. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please follow our guidelines below to submit a DMCA notice.

Requirements for a DMCA Notice

Identification

  • An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, including the title, author, and any other relevant details.

Location and Contact Information

  • A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Site, including the specific URL(s) or other identifying information.
  • Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.

Required Statements

  • A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Additional Evidence

  • Documentation proving your ownership of the copyright or authorization to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Screenshots or other evidence showing the alleged infringement.
  • Any additional information that may help us evaluate your claim.

Notice Review Timeline

Initial Review

We will acknowledge receipt of your DMCA notice within 2 business days. Our legal team will conduct an initial review within 5 business days to ensure all required information is provided.

Content Removal

If your notice is valid, we will remove the allegedly infringing content within 10 business days of receiving a complete DMCA notice. We will notify the affected user of the removal.

Counter-Notice Period

The affected user may submit a counter-notice after removal if they believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification. The DMCA restoration clock starts after we receive and forward a valid counter-notice.

Counter-Notice Process

Counter-Notice Requirements

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the removed content and its original location
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and phone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district where Sorena may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the complainant or their agent

Content Restoration

If we receive a valid counter-notice and forward it to the original complainant, we may restore the content not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice unless the complainant first notifies us that they filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
